About Us
Mary Kaye SteinmetzFor over 19 years, Mary Kaye has been a foster parent for a young woman with cerebral palsy. Mary Kaye’s daughter uses a wheelchair for mobility, alternative forms of communication, and receives nourishment from an alternative feeding device. Mary Kaye’s lived experiences bring a rich knowledge of assistive technology and how it can positively impact individuals, families and the community. She serves the team as the community outreach coordinator, providing her perspective and common sense approaches to solving the needs of families. Mary Kaye has co-coordinated a yearly event held by the Council on Mental Retardation to showcase area services and supports for consumers with disabilities, caregivers and advocates. Mary Kaye’s volunteer experience includes working at Kosair Children’s Hospital in the rehabilitation service areas, active participation on the Council on Mental Retardation’s Education Committee, Churchill Park School’s Aquatic Therapy Program, service as a Trustee on The Council on Mental Retardation’s Board of Directors, working with the Parent Outreach Program at the Council on Mental Retardation, service on the Disability Awareness Programs at two Jefferson County Public Schools, and as a prayer group leader for persons with disabilities at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. |
Joy VesselsJoy has been with enTECH since 1997. This is Joy’s second career. Joy retired from BellSouth in 1994 after working with the company for 34 years. Joy has extensive experience in office management.Joy manages the loan libraries, special services for contract requests and fulfillment. She assists in enTECH’s community service and promotional activities. |
Alison Amshoff MS, CCC-SLP, A.T.Alison is a 2003 graduate of the Communication Disorders program at the University of Louisville. She has provided Assistive Technology assessment, intervention and education/training for individuals of all ages. She has expertise in development of Augmentative/Alternative Communication systems and has had formal training in the delivery of the Picture Exchange Communication System. Alison has expertise working with individuals with various diagnosis including medically fragile, mental retardation and global developmental delay. Alison also has interest in working with individuals with feeding and swallowing difficulties. She currently has privileges to provide services in several local hospitals to perform swallow studies. Alison brings expertise to the enTECH team to enhance the Assistive Technology services that are provided.
