CADC & CEUs

CADC

The School of Social Work at Spalding University is committed to providing quality education that is of service to the community.

In this light, we have developed a cadre of courses designed with professionals in mind who wish to serve persons with alcohol and chemical misuse and/or dependency issues.  The courses can be taken in any order and all offer Continuing Education Units for Social Work or CADC licensing.. Or if you are pursing a degree,  most can be taken either  for academic credit at the undergraduate or graduate levels .

Courses are offered in a compact timeframe on Thursday evenings and Fridays during the day.

Our instructors are licensed CADC professionals who have years of experience in the addictions field and in teaching.  Classes are held in comfortable classrooms intended for adult learners.  We also have free parking.

Social Work Continuing Education Offerings

We are also growing our offerings for Continuing Education for social workers and other human service professionals.   All are approved by the State of Kentucky, Board of Social Work Licensure for continuing education credits for social workers.

Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma, also known as “Shaken Baby Syndrome”, is the leading cause of death from child abuse.  Recent legislation passed in Kentucky requires training on recognition, intervention and prevention of abusive head trauma for a variety of Kentucky citizens and professionals who work with children. This presentation will fulfill the training requirements mandated by House Bill 285.

More importantly, this information may help you save a child’s life.

Check back for more information about more Professional Ethics offerings for licensed social workers.  We are adding more trainings to our calendar.
