Unlike many other conferences, the 2013 International Summit Conference on Compassionate Organizations has no keynote speakers, workshop presenters, or participants. The Summit Conference is a working event in which colleagues join together to engage the convening question:
What can we do to foster cultures of compassion?
The International Summit Conference is presented in affiliation with “Engaging Compassion” — the visit to Louisville by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama in May 2013. This is a “working” conference in which Thought Catalysts actively work with conference colleagues to explore the applications, roles, requirements, targeted outcomes, effective practices, policies, and other elements for creating organizational cultures of compassion.
You’re not a “participant,” you’re a colleague
The International Summit Conference on Compassionate Organizations is just that — a summit conference. Unlike other types of conferences, everyone attending the Summit is Summit colleague — a key voice and contributor to the course, shape, and outcome of the Summit as well as the continuing dialogue for the year up to the next Summit Conference in 2014.
Your experience, passion, and ideas will help us develop the best ways to foster cultures of compassion in the government, business, schools, faith groups, colleges, universities, health care systems, the arts, service agencies, and other organizations.
Among those who should consider attending the conference are representatives from the following fields:
and any others wishing to assist in fostering cultures of compassion in organizations.
