Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on October 12th
Part 1: 9:00-12:00 – A.T. in Minutes – Using Ordinary Items to Create Extraordinary Solutions This hands-on session will demonstrate how 42 everyday items can be used to create thousands of five minute solutions that promote health, safety and independence for aging in place.
Part 2: 1:00-3:30 – iPADs and Aging – Amazing Apps, Adaptation and Accessories for Older Adults. This hands-on session will demonstrate the power of the iPAD in supporting full participation for older adults. Over 75 apps, adaptations and accessories will be demonstrated to support vision, hearing, cognitive, and physical impairments.
OTs, OTAs, ATPs, SLPs, PTs, practitioners and Activity Directors will receive Kentucky Board approved 5.5 CCU credit hours.
Lunch will be on your own. There are several fast food restaurants within a mile from the University and several larger restaurants on Fourth Street Live in Downtown Louisville.
Registration deadline is October 7, 2013. Cancelations will be accepted until October 7, 2013 minus an administration fee of $50. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER DEADLINE.
