This course:

• Provides an overview of objectives and procedures to effectively conduct group therapy with individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
• Focuses on a Motivational Cognitive-Behavioral approach
• Examines processes to develop cohesion within the group, look at the impact of group structure and selection and how best to deal with difficult situations that may arises
• Will also look at ways to implement creativity into the group process and how to empower the group to create a positive environment for growth and self-motivated change
