First of all, let me take this opportunity to wish each member of the Spalding family a most joyous Christmas holiday and a great New Year, full of hope and promise for you and your families.
To update on our search for a new President for Spalding University, I am pleased to advise you that to date we have received application materials from over 50 candidates representing 26 states. In addition, more than three dozen persons have been nominated by others for consideration.
The task of sorting through this material and evaluating the candidates in order to narrow the field to the ultimate finalists who will come to the Spalding campus for interviews and meetings belongs to our Presidential Search committee. This Committee consists of board members, faculty, administration, alumni and student representatives. They are hard at work on the review process and expect to identify a number of worthy candidates for final consideration.
The process is continuing on schedule and is going well. We will continue to update you as developments warrant.
