With increased enrollment across campus this fall, the Kentucky School of Art has leased additional space located at 849 S. Third Street across the street from the school’s original studios in Teilhard Hall. The new space is adjacent to the Third Street Academic Building (TSAB) on the east side of Third Street between York and Breckinridge Streets.
“With the acquisition of this additional space, we have taken another significant step forward with the growth of the Kentucky School of Art program at Spalding,” says Churchill Davenport, president of KSA.
The 15,000 square foot building houses a new art gallery, office space for two admissions counselors, a large sculpture studio and individual student studio space. Several events, including artistic speakers, celebrations with live music and donor receptions have already taken place in the new building.
