The Spalding University Strategic Plan 2013-2018 encompasses the collaboration of Spalding’s faculty, staff, Leadership Team, and trustees during the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 academic years.
The plan, which was approved by the university’s Board of Trustees in November 2012, will guide the work of Spalding in the next five years. The Strategic Plan Overview outlines the institution’s strategies, which are broad-reaching and farsighted, while upholding the University’s mission and vision as keystones to progress. The strategies are ambitious and achievable, and they identify planned efforts during the next half-decade and include growing enrollment, expanding academic programs and enhancing current ones, widening the campus footprint with greater green space and improving facilities to meet students’ needs, among the many goals. The strategies fall within the categories of community engagement, stewardship, professional development of faculty and staff, and campus environment. Additionally, the final strategy is titled as Spalding’s Signature Strategy, the opening of a Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF), because it will serve as a beacon to our community of Spalding’s academic and professional excellence, service, and compassion.
