Post-professional OTD – General Track
30 credit hour online program
The post-professional OTD – General track is one of two tracks offered in our post-professional OTD program. We also offer a track in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation.
The general track is a 100 percent online program is designed for licensed occupational therapy practitioners who are looking to earn a terminal degree focused on leadership. Through advanced study in our post-professional OTD program, you’ll sharpen your clinical, research and evidence-based practice skills and be prepared for administration, leadership and program and policy development.

Our faculty of doctorally-prepared experts specialize in a variety of fields, including upper extremity rehabilitation, tele-health, pediatric oncology and autism. You’ll work closely with your faculty mentors to customize your program of study, fieldwork and capstone to your professional interests.
As a practitioner and doctoral student, you’ll be setup for success. You’ll take one online course per trimester (13 weeks), allowing you to dedicate yourself to your studies without sacrificing your career. We’ll guide you through the program with a unit-by-unit breakdown of course content. Your online learning will be robust and engaging:

This track can also be combined with our 15-credit hour post-master’s Upper Extremity Certificate for a dual OTD + specialty certificate.
All occupational therapy practitioners would benefit from advanced knowledge of upper extremity rehabilitation in a variety of practice areas:

The program offers state-of-the art experiential learning in demonstration, skill development and competency testing using innovative technology. Students will receive state-of-the-art education and develop clinical skills
necessary to be competitive in today’s marketplace. These skills include physical examination and diagnosing, fabrication and application of custom orthotics and business management skills necessary to provide productive and competitive functional outcomes. This course will enable the graduate to develop clinical knowledge to be competitive in the goal market.
