Athletic Training Info Session
April 26 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
If you are looking for an allied health career with opportunities in diverse practice settings, you may be interested in Spalding University’s Master of Science in Athletic Training Program. Our 67-credit hour non-thesis program provides a gateway for students and professionals outside of the field to become athletic trainers. Because of our specialized curriculum, we do not require an undergraduate degree from a specific area of study to apply.
Athletic trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and safe participation of patients and clients across widely ranging age and care continuums. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and re-conditioning of individuals with impairments, functional limitations and disabilities from emergency, acute or chronic medical conditions.
Athletic trainers are employed by hospitals, clinics, health and wellness organizations, fitness centers, physician’s offices, comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities, occupational health departments, public and private secondary schools, colleges, universities, and by professional sports teams.
The event is in the Kosair Charities College of Health & Natural Sciences bldg, Room 142. Free parking available directly across the street in Faculty Lot ‘D’.
