Bert Griffin – Chief Advancement Officer :
A life-long Louisvillian, Bert joined Spalding in April 2013 and will provide direct oversight to all development and alumni programs including annual fund, special events, grants, capital and endowment programs. Griffin previously served at The Salvation Army Louisville as the director of development. He also served 10 years as fundraising consultant in his family’s marketing firm Griffin Fundraising & Marketing, helping organizations both locally and nationally achieve their funding goals; this included direct involvement with Spalding University’s 2009 Pathways to Success endowment program. Paul Bolton – Manager of Alumni Giving, Events & Relations:
Paul graduated from Spalding University in May 2001 with his B.S. in Communication Studies. Paul is responsible for cultivating relationships and engaging with Spalding alumni, planning alumni events and coordinating social media outreach. Paul previously served at the Sullivan University System as an associate director in admissions. He has social media development experience, and he worked in sales for 13 years.
Paul is from Louisville, Ky., and in addition to his bachelor’s degree from Spalding, he has his Master of Science in Management from Sullivan University. Click here to reach Paul by email.
David Clark – Manager of Advancement Services & Data Support:
David joined Spalding in February 2014 to manage Spalding’s alumni and development data base. His duties include biographical and gift data entry, project tracking and prospect research. He also assists with office administration. Previously, he worked as a development assistant at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., an assistant to a conference coordinator at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and development coordinator at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In development and education administration, he has experience in data maintenance and entry, event coordination, grant writing and stewardship.

Beth Henley – Manager of Donor Relations and Stewardship:
Beth began working in the Spalding Admission’s Office in 2004, after 10 years as a teacher’s assistant for the primary grades at Holy Family School in Louisville. In 2006, she joined the Office of Advancement and Philanthropy and is now the Coordinator of Donor Relations and Stewardship. Beth is charged with ensuring responsive Donor Relations in the Office of Advancement and Philanthropy. She is also responsible for the coordination of activities related to the donor community, including gift clubs, thank-a-thons, mail appeals, giving campaigns, and ensuring the stewardship of endowed gifts. Beth also supports the administrative functions of the Office of Advancement and Philanthropy, as well as plans and executes Advancement Events.
