As Louisville’s only downtown university, we celebrate our urban vibe and our 100-year history at this location. Our campus began as one Victorian mansion (which is still around for viewing). It now extends over 23 acres—7.3 of which are dedicated to top-of-the-line athletic fields for soccer, softball and lacrosse—and includes over a dozen buildings, including the gym where heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali learned to box.
