A New Way to Live and Learn This Fall
Two new living-learning communities are welcoming participating Spalding students to their new home as the 2026-27 academic year gets underway.
The Honors Scholar LLC and the Healthcare LLC, are giving students the chance to live alongside peers who share their academic passions, all while deepening their learning and building connections across generations.
LLCs bring together students who share similar academic interests and career goals, fostering collaboration and a close-knit community that supports both personal growth and academic success.
Spalding’s LLCs take that experience a step further, placing students at Treyton Oak Towers, an active senior living community located just blocks from campus, where they’re living alongside senior residents and enriching their education through intergenerational connection and service.
Honors Scholar LLC
The Honors Scholar LLC is designed for students in the Honors Scholar Program who are motivated to challenge themselves academically while engaging deeply with ideas, leadership and service.
Through special programming, faculty engagement and collaborative experiences, students will explore complex topics and take part in leadership and service initiatives. Along the way, they’ll connect classroom learning to real-world issues.
For Honors Scholars, this community is about learning from one another as much as from the classroom. Students challenge one another to think critically, take on leadership roles and pursue ideas with purpose, all while building friendships rooted in shared curiosity.
Healthcare LLC
The Healthcare LLC is designed for undergraduate and graduate students in healthcare and allied health programs who are ready to turn their passion into purpose. Students will connect with peers, faculty and industry professionals through workshops, guest speakers and hands-on experiences. Together, these experiences show students how science, leadership and teamwork come together to support health and wellbeing.
This community goes beyond the classroom, helping students build discipline and confidence to pursue careers where their work will directly change lives. Through it all, they’re forming relationships that will support them long after graduation.
The Healthcare LLC is open to all students enrolled in healthcare and allied health programs.
