Spalding University is a private, not-for-profit, liberal arts university. Our campus encompasses more than 24 acres in downtown Louisville, KY. As of the fall of 2019, Spalding had a headcount of 1,629 students. Established in 1814 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, Spalding University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award more than 66 degrees at the associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, specialist’s and doctoral levels. Tori Murden McClure, M.Div., J.D., M.F.A has served as president since 2010.
