Dr. Christie Cooper, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, serves as Academic Success Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at Spalding University. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience across healthcare settings and the community. Her clinical expertise includes primary care, chronic disease management, and diabetes care. Her professional interests include evidence-based practice, population health, preventive health, and improving outcomes for individuals living with diabetes and other chronic conditions.

Dr. Cooper is deeply committed to seeing the holistic student and recognizing the academic, professional, personal, and emotional dimensions that shape each learner’s journey. She believes in providing foundational support, encouragement, and compassion as students navigate their nursing academic pathway to success. Through intentional mentorship and academic guidance, she fosters resilience, confidence, and clinical competence while creating a supportive environment rooted in care, growth, and excellence in nursing practice.
