George Armitage, PhD, LPC (MI) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with an earned Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Toledo and Master of Arts in Counseling from Central Michigan University. Dr. G currently serves as Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Experiences at Spalding University. Dr. G has worked in college mental health, community mental health, and private practice settings with client concerns related to anxiety, relationships, sexuality, and grief and loss. Dr. G has been teaching since fall 2015 at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as working with supervisees in both Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling settings. When Dr. G is not working, he is cooking and experimenting with new cuisines. Dr. G is constantly consuming podcasts, music, and film — it is a problem. Dr. G also loves to travel and is always planning his next trip.
