Veteran Education Benefits

Spalding University is proud to support those who have made sacrifices for our country on their educational journey. Through scholarships, resources that ease the transition from military life to college and student life opportunities designed specifically for veterans, Spalding University meets the needs of those who have given so much to meet the needs of others.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Resources

Students wishing to utilize VA benefits can start their application VA Education and Training Benefits page of the VA website.

Spalding will need a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility from the VA.

VA education annual benefits are from August 1st to July 31st and based on when the term starts.

Chapter 33 students are required to verify attendance each month in order to get their Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) payment. Failure to certify will delay your payment.

Spalding Military and Veteran Support Services

Academic Advising

Military and veteran students entering as undergraduate or graduate students will be assigned to an academic advisor in the Academic Support Services office, who will work with the student to develop a timeline to graduation and a calendar plan of their courses.

Financial Aid

For all Financial Aid advising and military tuition benefits, including the Yellow Ribbon Program for qualified veterans, contact the Financial Aid Office. The College Financing Plan, formerly known as Financial Aid Shopping Sheet, is administered through the Financial Aid Office.

Mental Health Counseling

Mental health counseling is available through our Counseling and Psychological Services (CaPS). Contact CaPS with any inquiries regarding available mental health services or to schedule an appointment.
