Second-Degree Accelerated BSN Program Overview
The Second-Degree Accelerated BSN program at Spalding University prepares students to lead in health care or excel in graduate study. Each student works with a dedicated nursing success coach through completion of this fast track degree program. All students participate in clinical placements and are prepared for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) exam.
This program is designed for individuals with bachelor’s degree in another field to transition into the nursing profession.

Accelerated BSN Courses
The accelerated second degree nursing program’s hybrid format provides flexibility for a working individual to continue with employment while in the program. Your semester schedule includes a low number of courses required to ensure excellent retention and completion rates.
Clinical experience is gained in hospitals, health centers and community health agencies throughout Louisville. The program curriculum includes anatomy and physiology, microbiology and pathophysiology as well as courses such as health assessment, maternal-newborn nursing and nursing pharmacology. Clinical placements through clinical homes model allow students to spend more time in direct patient care environments.
At the completion of the program, you will be prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) exam.
