Admission Requirements
Students interested in a radiologic technology associate degree must meet the following requirements:
Application: Complete the general application for Spalding University.
High School/College: Have a high school diploma or GED; college transcripts if applicable.
TEAS Exam: Applicants must take the TEAS exam in person and achieve a minimum score of 60 in Reading, 60 in Mathematics, and 40 in Science. Additionally, the overall composite score must be 60 or higher.
Interview: After passing the TEAS exam applicants will have an interview with the program director and a faculty member.
*Applicants are ranked by their total admission score. Candidates with the highest scores will receive priority consideration and will be admitted first.
In addition to general Spalding University admission requirements, prior to clinical educational training, students must pass background and drug screening and meet any site-related vaccination requirements.
Accreditation
The Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology program is pending approval by The Commission on Colleges and Universities — formerly the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
The program also aligns with Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) requirements.

Accreditation Disclosure
Accreditation Status
The Radiologic Technology Program is a newly developed program designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in medical imaging. The curriculum emphasizes patient care, radiation safety, imaging procedures, professionalism, and ethical practice while aligning with current industry standards and the content specifications of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
The program is currently engaged in the JRCERT accreditation process. The College’s application has been accepted by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), and the program is preparing its self-study report as part of the accreditation review process. The program has not yet been granted JRCERT accreditation.
What This Means for Students
The College is committed to developing and maintaining a high-quality educational experience that reflects the standards expected of radiologic technology programs. As accreditation is a multi-step process, students should understand that the program is actively working toward JRCERT accreditation and that accreditation status may not be finalized during their enrollment.
The College will provide updates regarding the program’s accreditation status as they become available and encourages prospective and current students to discuss any questions with program faculty.

JRCERT accreditation evaluates factors such as curriculum, faculty qualifications, student learning outcomes, resources, and program effectiveness to help ensure quality educational preparation for professional practice.
