Important note for professional licensure programs: The fact that a given program may meet the educational requirements for or initial licensure in your state does not indicate or guarantee your eligibility for professional licensure or certification in that state.
General Notification for All Students
Spalding University strongly recommends that you inquire with your applicable licensing board to determine all of the educational and other requirements for licensure, before enrolling in the program. Other requirements may include, but are not limited to, additional post-graduation examinations or experience, application and licensing fees, criminal background checks, reference checks, fingerprint submissions, etc. To inquire as to other requirements, or ask any other questions regarding licensure, please contact the licensing board in your state by clicking on the link to the agency in the disclosures above.
Change of Requirements or Relocation During Program
Please note that licensure requirements are always subject to change. While a program may originally meet the educational requirements for licensure, changes in requirements could impact the program’s ability to meet any new educational requirements. While Spalding University will confirm the licensure requirements on a routine basis, we strongly recommend that you inquire with the state/territory board to confirm that you understand and will meet the requirements for licensure before enrolling in your program of choice. Please note that relocating while completing your program could impact whether you will meet the eligibility requirement for licensure. Please check with the state where you will be seeking licensure before relocating to ensure that you will be eligible for licensure or reciprocity.

Spalding University participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements
State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)
Spalding University seeks to deliver all of our online programs in every state. We work through the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) process and with states directly to ensure that when authorization or licensure is necessary, required approvals are obtained.
SARA is a voluntary agreement that allows states and institutions to offer distance education in other participating states so long as the institution adheres to certain quality and consumer protection standards. More information on SARA can be found at nc-sara.org. Kentucky is a member of SARA and Spalding University is an approved SARA institution.
