Spalding students rarely pay the full cost of tuition. 99 percent of all first-time, full-time students—receive financial support through scholarships, grants, loans and other types of aid.

Undergraduate

Undergraduate tuition is calculated at a flat rate for standard full-time status. Enrollment above or below the standard full-time status is calculated by the credit hour. Tuition rates are reviewed each year and may be subject to annual increases.

Please note: Students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSW) programs will have fees in addition to tuition (listed above):

  • Accelerated BSN: $33/credit hour

* All first-year students will be housed in Morrison Hall and with a roommate. Accommodations for a documented medical need, requiring a single room may be directed to the Center for Accessibility and Learning Equity at [email protected] for information. Students with approved medical exceptions will be charged the double room rate of their respective dorm for the 2023-2024 academic year. Requests for a single room not associated with a documented medical need should be directed to [email protected] for review. Single rooms are subject to availability.

**You must submit a $100 deposit to secure your room and receive a housing assignment.  You will not receive your housing assignment until you pay the deposit.  This deposit will be applied as a payment to the student account reducing the balance due for the first semester that you live on campus.  You need to submit this deposit once for each academic year.  You do not need to submit it each semester.  The Housing Preference Form will instruct you on how to pay the $100 deposit.

***This fee supports health and wellness services and education.

****Unused food plans are forfeited at the end of the semester. Any unused Eagle Dollars may be carried over from fall to spring but will be forfeited at the end of spring.

Online

Online tuition is calculated per credit hour and in some cases varies by program. Tuition rates are reviewed each year and may be subject to annual increases.

In addition to direct costs, the university has a $150 annual fee ($75 per semester for undergraduate students) for health and counseling services. If you are a graduate student, your program of choice may have additional fees, including orientation, course fees, travel costs, etc. Check your individual program for associated costs.

Spalding University estimates an additional $1100 for books for full-time undergraduate students and $700 for books for full-time graduate students. However, book costs can vary by program and may actually be less than the university’s estimated annual cost.
