With the announced 2025 closure of Fontbonne University, we know this is a difficult time for Fontbonne students. That is why Spalding University is working with Fontbonne to offer a streamlined, personalized transfer experience. As a transfer partner with Fontbonne University, we are collaborating with Fontbonne administrators to develop teach-out and transfer pathways to allow students a smooth transition toward degree completion. Additionally, we provide automatic undergraduate admission for Fontbonne students in good academic standing.
Spalding University, has been named a Top-5 college located in Louisville, Kentucky, with the university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The university has also been listed as one of the most affordable private colleges in Kentucky, with undergraduate and graduate tuition fees offered at a competitive cost.

A New Home for Fontbonne Student Athletes
Our athletics program focuses on the well-being of our student-athletes, ensuring they receive the proper support at every mental, emotional and academic level. In addition to our coaching staffs, we also have a strength and conditioning coach, mental performance coach and athletic trainers on staff, our investment into our athletics program begins with our students. We are consistently working to support our athletes in their academic pursuits, so they can strive for success in life beyond the college-level.
Spalding University competes in 17 intercollegiate varsity sports. The university also opened its new facility Legacy Fields in 2019, dedicated to student-athletes. The athletic complex is worth $9 million.
