Day at the Downs

Welcome to the Spalding Day at the Downs Auction! We’re excited to offer a range of fantastic items, all for a great cause. The auction will close on November 2nd at 4:00 PM, so be sure to get your bids in before then!

Proceeds from the auction will go toward the Blue and Gold Fund, directly supporting Spalding students.

Special Note: Funds raised from the auction baskets created by individual colleges will be directed back to those colleges, supporting their specific student initiatives.

This auction is completely online through Betterworld. Instructions to make an account are below. You will need an account to place bids. However, you do not have to be present to win!

How to Start a Bid

• Got to our Betterworld auction page
• Enter the amount you wish to Bid on the item and click Bid!
  • Just enter the Amount you wish to bid, do not add $ signs or Decimals (.00) as this will cause an error

Creating an Account

• The first time you place a bid, you will be asked to provide your first name, last name, email address, a password and your phone number
  • You will also have to sign up with a credit card to purchase any items you win
• There will be a black box with your bid details
  • This will include a suggested donation to Betterworld who provides the auction software and fundraising software free of charge to Spalding
  • If you do not wish to make this additional donation click on the question mark and at the bottom of the paragraph click “Here” to open a screen where you can opt out of the donation

Already Have an Account?

• If you have already set up an account or placed a bid today, your information should be saved and you can place a bid without any additional information
• If you have been logged out, log back in with the email and password you used earlier

What’s Next

• If you allow for text alerts, you will get a notice if you are outbid
  • You will also get an email alert as well
• If you win, you will receive an email notifying you of your success!
• Credit cards of winning bids will be charged after the auction closes
• You can bring your receipt to the auction table to collect your items
