Clinical Mental Health Counseling Admission Information
Admission Requirements
To be considered for the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, you’ll need to complete an online application and meet or submit the following requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher or a Miller’s Analogies Test score of 410 or higher
- Official transcripts from every college or university previously attended
- A resume or curriculum vitae
- Three recommendations from unrelated persons are required. Recommendations must complete the online recommendation form.
- A personal essay describing how a clinical mental health degree fits into your career journey
Selected candidates will be invited to participate in the program admissions interview.

Matriculations Requirements
The matriculation process begins when a student is notified of admission into the program. Students admitted to the program will receive notification on how to set-up their my.spalding. edu accounts, enrollment procedures, and courses registration. All admitted students will be appointed a program academic advisor. Those students with conditional admittance must submit all missing documents by the first day of class.
