Fast-Track Options

Accelerated / Second Degree

Accelerated or second-degree programs allow for students, seeking a bachelor’s degree, who have an associate’s degree in their field of study or a bachelor’s degree in another area of study. With this fast-track option, we’ll accept credits from your previous coursework to allow you to earn your bachelor’s degree in less time or at an accelerated pace.

Combined / Dual Degree

Our combined/dual degree programs fast-track your learning by allowing you to begin taking graduate courses in select master’s or doctoral programs at Spalding as you complete your undergraduate degree.

Block Transfer

Block transfer makes it convenient to transfer to Spalding. If you have an associate’s degree in arts or science, we’ll accept your previous college credit as a whole, not course for course.

Haven’t earned your associate’s but still have college credit? Don’t worry; we’ll take the college credit you’ve earned into consideration. You may be eligible to transfer in up to 90 hours, allowing you to earn your bachelor’s degree in as few as 30 credit hours.

Partner Programs

Partner programs are agreements between Spalding University and other colleges or universities. These agreements offer conditional or guaranteed admission to Spalding students.

Besides our fast-track options, we also have program pairings that allow you to progress seamlessly from your bachelor’s degree to a master’s degree or doctorate at Spalding.

Fast Track Programs

For students with a bachelor’s in another field seeking to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Benefits compared to our 4-year BS in Accounting:

  • Attainable in half the time or less
  • 48 fewer credit hours to degree completion

For occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) seeking to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health Science.

Benefits compared to our 4-year BS in Health Science:

  • Attainable in three-quarters of the time or less
  • 34 fewer credit hours to degree completion

For registered nurses (RNs) seeking to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Program benefits:

  • Attainable in as little as one year
  • Fully online
  • Transfer up to 90 credit hours with an active, unrestricted RN license and an associate’s degree or diploma in nursing

For individuals with a bachelor’s degree in another field seeking to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Program benefits:

  • Attainable in 13 months
  • Dedicated Success Coach throughout the program
  • Access to Bailen Heath Science Simulation Learning Center for hands-on learning

A 3+2 dual degree program for high-achieving undergraduate health science students at Spalding University seeking to earn their master’s degree in athletic training.

Benefits:

  • Early admission to the MS in Athletic Training program
  • Attainable in 5 years (3 undergraduate + 2 graduate)
  • Earn up to 35 graduate credit hours as an undergrad

A 3+2 dual degree program for high-achieving undergraduate health science students at Spalding University seeking to earn their master’s degree in athletic training.

Benefits:

  • Early admission to the MS in Athletic Training program
  • Attainable in 5 years (3 undergraduate + 2 graduate)
  • Earn up to 35 graduate credit hours as an undergrad

A 3+4 dual degree program for high-achieving undergraduate health science students at Spalding University seeking to earn their doctoral degree in physical therapy.

Benefits:

  • Early admission to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program
  • Attainable in 7 years (3 undergraduate + 4 graduate)
  • Earn up to 31 graduate credit hours as an undergrad

Transfer students with an associate’s degree or more than 24 hours of previous college credit may be eligible to transfer in up to 90 hours.

Our partnership with Sullivan University in Louisville, Ky., provides BS in Natural Science pre-pharmacy students at Spalding a 3+1 pathway for beginning their first year of pharmacy school in their last year of undergraduate study.

Benefits:

  • Guaranteed interview with Sullivan’s School of Pharmacy
  • Bachelor’s degree attainable in 4 years (3 undergraduate at Spalding + 1 year in Sullivan’s pharmacy school)
  • Reverse transfer of credits for students who pass their first-year pharmacy courses (one year) at an accredited pharmacy

Six-week Block Schedule

Spalding University is a top-5 college for our non-traditional schedule (College Raptor). All of our undergraduate majors (and several of our graduate programs) are offered in our flexible six-week block schedule format. With blocks, you have the luxury of choosing, every six weeks, the schedule you’d like. So if you’re eager to accelerate your bachelor’s degree, you can earn up to six credit hours in six weeks of study (that’s 18 credit hours per semester).
