Holistic, Individualized, Hands-on Education
Spalding University’s Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program educates athletic trainers who are equipped and qualified to practice in a myriad of settings. Our students engage in classroom and clinical learning that is patient centered and team oriented. As professionals, our graduates are critical thinkers and take a holistic approach to rehabilitation that is just as focused on injury prevention as it is healing.
Holistic Rehabilitation
With a holistic approach to rehabilitation that focuses just as much on injury prevention as healing, your education will prepare you to enter the workforce in a variety of settings, from professional and collegiate sports, secondary and intermediate schools, sports medicine clinics, hospital emergency rooms, rehabilitation clinics, occupational and industrial settings, fitness centers, and physician offices.
Individual Attention
Our individual attention and 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio gives you the opportunity to excel further in your athletic training career.
Network With the Louisville Community
Through hands-on practice opportunities, you will have the chance to network and gain a greater understanding of the world and your place in it. Our downtown location connects you with our community partners, including a large multi-system medical complex.
More Fieldwork Experience
The Master of Science in Athletic Training program is now structured in a traditional semester format. This change provides you with more clinical fieldwork opportunities by aligning with local employers. The additional hands-on experience makes you better prepared to work in the field immediately after graduation.
Accreditation
The athletic training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). That means that you are getting a quality education that follows industry best practices. Our goal is to achieve the best outcomes for every student.
