Spalding’s 4th Annual Poems to Paintings Exhibition

November 13th

Curated by Professor Lynnell Edwards of the Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing and Creative Arts Professor Aaron Lubrick from the School of Liberal Arts, “Poems To Paintings” brings together literary and visual artists into a cross-discipline thread that engages students from both disciplines in one another’s art while pushing their abilities and creativity.

Student of our Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing submit original poetry they have written to students and alumni of our Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. From there, our BFA Art students alumni select a poem that speaks to them and create visual art inspired by their selection. Group meetings and work-in-progress critiques help drive the process towards the opening of the annual exhibition.
